Warning Description: Areal Flood Advisory

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued an
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Hillsborough County in Florida.
This includes the cities of...Lutz...Temple Terrace...Tampa
International Airport...Tampa
* until 615 PM EDT
* at 444 PM EDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
rainfall rates of two to three inches per hour associated with a
very slow moving thunderstorm over the advised area...localized
flooding is imminent or occurring. Doppler radar estimates 2 to 3
inches of rainfall have already occurred in the advisory area and
additional 1 to 3 inches area possible.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Keep children from being swept away in flooded ditches and drains.
Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear and may stall your
vehicle. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep
vehicles off the Road. Turn around...dont drown.

WarningSum:...Strong Thunderstorms Will Affect East Central Pinellas And
Northwestern Hillsborough Counties...
Warning Message:National Weather Service Doppler radar indicates a line of strong
thunderstorms located along a line extending from Lutz to Weedon
Island State Preserve...or along a line extending from Lutz to
downtown Saint Petersburg...nearly stationary...will affect Lake
Fern...cheval...Lutz and westchase...until 545 PM EDT.
This includes Interstate 75 between exits 254 and 266.
This includes Interstate 4 between exits 1 and 10.
Gusty winds 35 to 45 mph will be possible. Frequent lightning is
expected. To be safe go indoors immediately. If caught
outside...find a low spot...and stay away from tall objects. These
storms may produce pea size hail. Torrential rains will reduce
visibility to near zero and will cause ponding of water on roadways.
Motorists should exercise extreme caution.
